Share of Australian sheepmeat import value in China FY 2022, by meat type
In the financial year 2022, around 53 percent of China’s imported sheepmeat from Australia was lamb, valued at almost 555 million Australian dollars. Meanwhile, imported mutton accounted for about 47 percent, equal to nearly 490 million Australian dollars. According to the source, 2021 saw an increase of around 36 percent in mutton sheepmeat import value from Australia to China compared with the previous year.
