In the financial year 2022, around 53 percent of China’s imported sheepmeat from Australia was lamb, valued at almost 555 million Australian dollars. Meanwhile, imported mutton accounted for about 47 percent, equal to about 490 million Australian dollars. A increase of roughly 73 million Australian dollars in sheepmeat import value from Australia to China can be observed in 2022.
