Enforcing contracts score in North Africa 2020, by country
In North Africa, Morocco and Tunisia have the best regulatory performance. In terms of contract enforcement, these countries obtained scores of 64 and 58 points in 2020, respectively. Enforcing contracts in Egypt required, on the other hand, more time and higher costs, with the court system being less efficient than in the other countries of the region. The enforcing contracts indicator determines, among other elements, the attractiveness of a country's business environment. Where a score is high, commercial disputes can be resolved more easily and faster.
