Global packaging paper and paperboard production 2021, by region
Asia produced more paperboard and packaging paper than any other region in 2021, at nearly 128 million metric tons. This accounted for 48.5 percent of the global production that year. Europe was the second biggest producer, with an output of 62.7 million metric tons.
