Popular trust in courts of law in Kenya 2003-2019
Trust in law courts in Kenya increased to 57 percent in 2019, compared to 52 percent in 2016. This meant that nearly six out of 10 Kenyans trusted “somewhat” or “a lot” courts of law in the country. In comparison to 2003, trust in the formal justice system improved significantly. That year, only 37 percent of respondents cited having a lot/somewhat confidence in law courts.
