Global fertilizer consumption 2021, by nutrient and region
In 2021, the region with the highest consumption of fertilizers worldwide was East Asia, followed by South Asia and then Latin America and the Caribbean. The consumption of fertilizers in East Asia reached some 61.9 million metric tons, whereas South Asia consumed 38.7 million metric tons of fertilizers that year.
