Global consumption of phosphate fertilizer 2020, by product
Ammonium phosphate was by far the most consumed phosphate fertilizer worldwide in 2020. That year, its global consumption reached over 25 million metric tons of phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅). Complex NPK fertilizers ranked second, with a consumption of roughly 12.5 million tons of P₂O₅.
