Projections estimate battery-electric trucks will make up approximately 64 percent of the total electric trucks fleet in 2026, at just under 208,000 units. This segment is the most rapidly growing, with a compound annual growth rate forecast at 78.58 percent between 2020 and 2026. By contrast, hydrogen fuel cell trucks are projected to represent some 4,390 vehicles in the fleet, up from 468 in 2019.
