Global gas power capacity by operating status 2022
As of 2022, natural gas power plants with a capacity of over 600 gigawatts are in the developmental stage worldwide. Of these, some 160 gigawatts are already under construction. Global gas power capacity has nearly tripled since 2000, although growth rates have slowed in the last two years.
