As of 2020, there were 681.5 thousand households with five members or more in Israel. This household size was the most common that year, followed closely by households with two members (674.5 thousand households). In addition, nearly 539 thousand people lived alone that year. In recent years, many Israeli residents have chosen to live alone in studio apartments due to high housing prices in Israel.
