China Eastern Airlines: Annual operating expenses 2010-2021
In 2021, China Eastern Airlines Group reported an annual operating expense of 86.7 billion yuan, which represents an increase of roughly 11 percent from 2020. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the operating expenses of China Eastern Airlines plummeted to 78.3 billion yuan which is one-third of the previous year's amount. In the past decade, China Eastern Airlines Group's operating expenses followed an upward trend, peaking at 118 billion yuan in 2019.
