In 2022, China Southern Airlines generated a revenue of about 87 billion yuan, representing a drop of more than 14 billion yuan from the previous year. The decline in revenue came as a result of reduced flight operations caused by the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. Multiple countries globally implemented travel restrictions in order to curb the spread of the virus.
