Share of final energy consumption in Ghana 2020, by fuel type
In 2020, Ghana's final energy consumption amounted to 8,654 thousand tons of oil equivalent. Petroleum was the most consumed energy product, as it amounted to roughly half the final energy consumption in the country. Biomass, on the other hand, made up over one third of the total energy consumption. Moreover, electricity contributed 17 percent to the consumption.
