British adults reporting a cost of living increase 2021-2023
In March 2023, 70 percent of households in Great Britain reported that their cost of living had increased in the previous month, compared with 62 percent in early November 2021. When compared with a year earlier, the vast majority of households were still witnessing a cost of living increase, at 93 percent of households. A variety of factors has been driving price rises in Britain, with the inflation rate hitting a high of 11.1 percent in October 2022.
