Mexico: entrepreneurial activity rate by gender 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic affected negatively the economy around the globe. In Mexico, the entrepreneurial activity rate for both women and men decreased from 2020 to 2021. For women, the impact was greater with a 0.9 percentage reduction, while for men the fall was of 0.6 percentage points. Overall, in Latin America, Mexican women's entrepreneurial activity rate ranked amongst the bottom.
