Latin America: female engagement in early-stage startups 2018

In 2018, Guatemala was found to be one of the Latin American countries with the highest female early-stage entrepreneurship activity (TEA). Among the nine countries from the region included in the study, Guatemala had the highest share of women starting up or running their own business: up to 24.5 percent of Guatemalan women were in the first 3.5 years of founding their own company.
