In 2019, the number of reported cases of use of illegal drugs in Copenhagen peaked at over 10,000 cases. The number increased rapidly from 2017 to 2019, before falling below 8,000 in 2021 and 2022. In 2021, the number of reported cases of drug trafficking in the city reached almost 350.
