In a survey that was conducted early in 2022, 62 percent of Chinese respondents stated that they are likely to eat less dairy products or to replace them with alternatives like soy or soya milk to combat climate change. Only in Peru was the share of respondents higher than in China. Here 65 percent of respondents stated that they are likely to take this course of action to limit their own contribution to climate change.
