Generations in Germany 2021, by household ownership of financial investments
In 2021, more than half of Gen Z respondents in Germany had a savings account, while almost 20 percent had a building loan contract. Among Millennials (Gen Y), 25.9 percent had a building loan contract, while the same was true for 26.4 percent of those aged between 41 and 55 years (Gen X). The figures are based on a survey conducted in Germany.
