In France, physical stores remain the preferred option for men and women to seek information about a product before purchasing it, a survey from early 2022 showed. On one hand, nearly 50 percent of French shoppers would go directly to the store to find out more details about a product. On the other hand, the use of search engines for this purpose was highest among female consumers, while price comparison services were the most popular among men.

11,740 consumers participated to the survey in the following countries: the U.S., UK, Australia, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
The sample sizes are nationally representative, naturally including both Klarna users and non-Klarna users.
