Czechia: energy inflation rate by commodity 2022

The inflation rate of energy commodity prices in Czechia rose significantly throughout 2022. Gas saw the steepest increase, with the inflation rate standing at 137.8 percent in November of that year. These developments occurred in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has been the cause of uncertainty over Europe's security of gas supply, as well as intense energy price volatility.
