Household income in relation to expenses Peru 2023

According to a survey carried out in Peru in January 2023, almost five out of every ten Peruvians claimed their household income was not enough to cover all the monthly expenses. Merely 11 percent of respodents had enough household income as to save money once all monthly expenses were deducted.

The question was presented as follows: "Actualmente, considerando todos los ingresos de dinero que tiene tu hogar en el mes, ¿cuál de las siguientes frases representa mejor la situación de tu hogar, con relación a todos los gastos que se tienen en un hogar en el mes: alimentación, cuentas de servicios básicos, estudios, arriendo/dividendo, pago de créditos, pago de tarjetas de créditos, etc.?"
