In 2019, over 17 thousand people made use of primary care services in Brazil. By service type, around 52.2 percent of adult patients in Brazil made use of primary care services due to illnesses, other health problems, or for continuing a health treatment. Meanwhile, nearly four in every ten Brazilian patients requested primary care services for periodic medical examinations that year.
