The number of asylum applications that were rejected in Norway decreased over the past years. This is because the total number of asylum applications has decreased since 2015. A majority of the 784 asylum seekers rejected in 2022 were transferred to another country according to the Dublin Regulation or to a safe third country. The same year, over 34,000 applications were granted, 33,000 of these to refugees from Ukraine.
