BRI countries' share in China's trade and FDI volume 2020-2021

In 2021, major participating countries along China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) accounted for a share of 29.7 percent of China's total merchandise trade volume. Their share in China's total outward foreign direct investment (FDI) flows was lower and reached around 13.5 percent that year.
