Number of vessels calling at the Turkish ports 2011-2021

The annual number of vessels calling at Turkish ports remained mostly stable before dropping dramatically to 55,300 in 2019 and 48,900 in 2020. Afterward, the figure increased to 51,200 ships in 2021. The decrease in the number of calling vessels is mainly related to the changes in ship sizes since the volume of cargo handled in Turkish ports increased in those years.
