In England in 2022, according to a survey of parents who did not intend for their children to receive the MMR vaccine, over 22 percent had this position because they were concerned about the safety of the vaccine. Furthermore, around a fifth had not vaccinated their children due to worries about potential side effects, and 19 percent had heard negative stories regarding the MMR vaccine.
