Around 54 percent of French respondents to a November 2021 survey highlighted a technical malfunction non-visible at the time of purchase and making the car unusable as their leading concern for a used car purchase. Electronic malfunctions came second in the ranking, with half of the survey participants mentioning it as a concern.
