Share of electricity production from hydropower in Portugal 2000-2021
Between 2000 and 2021, electricity generation from hydropower in Portugal saw some oscillation. In the latter year, hydropower accounted for over 24 percent of the country's electricity production, slightly up from some 23.4 percent in the previous year. During the period in consideration, figures reached a record high in 2003, when hydropower represented around one third of the total power generation in Portugal.
