The number of tourist arrivals to Paris and the Île-de-France region in France nearly doubled in 2022 over the previous year, after falling dramatically with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Despite the sharp annual increase, domestic and inbound tourist arrivals in Paris and Île-de-France remained below pre-pandemic levels, totaling around 24.7 million and 19.4 million in 2022, respectively.
