Most visited museums and cultural attractions in Greater Paris 2019-2021
In 2021, the Louvre was the most visited cultural site in Greater Paris. That said, attendance at the renowned tourist attraction - the most visited museum worldwide - remained significantly lower compared to the number of visitors reported prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, the Louvre welcomed roughly 2.8 million visitors in 2021. That year, the Eiffel Tower and the Centre Pompidou followed on the ranking, with around two million and 1.5 million visitors, respectively.
