Surgical treatment of obesity performed in France 2006-2016, by institution
As of 2016, most bariatric surgery procedures in France were performed in private healthcare establishments. That year, over 63 percent of bariatric surgeries were done in such private institutions. A third of these obesity treatment procedures were performed in public institutions, roughly 15 percent in regional hospitals and 17 percent in other public hospitals.
