Over the observed period, the use of payment methods with a mobile device in physical stores decreased for the four different payment methods. The most used method in 2020, bringing the mobile closer to the POS, decreased its frequency of use to 41.7 percent in 2021. Reading with the mobile a QR code placed in the establishment became the most used method of payment in 2021, with a rate of almost 48 percent. The least used method in 2021 was in-app payment, with a frequency of 31 percent.
