The total global imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) amounted to 408 metric tons in 2023, and 398 metric tons in 2022. Asia Pacific accounted for the largest share of global LNG imports in 2023, at 64.6 percent, which signified a decrease compared to the previous year's share of 71.3 percent. Meanwhile, Europe's share of LNG imports increased considerably, from 23 percent in 2022 to 30.3 percent in 2023.
