An increasing number of fashion brands participate in online resale programs in the United States. In 2021, roughly 36 fashion brands sold their own pre-owned items online; by September 2023, the number had risen to 157. As of April 2023, H&M ranked as the fashion retailer with the most listings on their dedicated recommerce site, H&M pre-loved.
