Share of respondents that agree to pay more for better electricity services 2022
In 2022, 51 percent of the respondents in a survey conducted in South Africa reported that they would rather pay more for better electricity services than pay less for poor services. However, 32 percent disagreed with this proposal, possibly due to not being able to afford it. A further 17 percent reported that they either were neutral, refused to answer, or didn't know.
