Europe: YoY change in used vehicle and new car registrations by country 2021-2022
Across the five European countries surveyed, Germany reported the steepest year-over-year drop in used car transactions in 2022, but was the only country to record an increase in new car registrations during that same period. Used car transactions decreased by 15.8 percent in Germany, compared to a slump of 13.5 percent in France and 8.5 percent in the United Kingdom.
