Paying for electricity with no electricity meter in Nigeria 2023, by method
Based on a conducted survey in Nigeria in 2023, 62 percent of the respondents with no electricity meter at home paid for power via estimated billing and/or direct billing. Furthermore, around a fifth of the respondents had a generator at their house, while three percent did not use any form of power supply. Overall, 43 percent of the respondents did not have a power meter at home.
