Global industry electricity prices in select countries 2022, by component
In 2022, Italy was the country with the highest industry electricity price worldwide, reaching around 25.56 pence per kilowatt-hour. By comparison, the United States had the lowest price among the listed countries, at 7.21 pence per kilowatt-hour. Meanwhile, Germany had some of the highest excise taxes on industrial electricity that year, at 2.99 pence per kilowatt-hour.
