Share of Jewish grooms aged 25-29 years who are first-time marrieds 2005-2021
In 2021, there were 83.2 grooms per 1,000 Jewish singles between the ages of 25 and 29 who married for the first time in Israel. This was a significant increase from the previous year, when the figure was only 53.1. This could be explained by the government's actions in the country to combat the COVID-19 outbreak, which canceled mass events and weddings in 2020. In 2005, there were 98.1 grooms per 1,000 singles. The number of grooms in this age group fluctuated throughout the period, with a slight overall decrease.
