A November 2022 survey in France found that roughly four in 10 respondents thought social networks do not guarantee the protection of their personal data. Meanwhile, 33 percent thought the opposite. A further 16 percent were certain that their data was unsafe on social networks, while only nine percent had confidence in the safety of user data on social media platforms.
