Global supply of EV batteries for recycling 2020-2040
In 2020, EV batteries available for recycling worldwide amounted to an estimated 250 kilotons. This figure is expected to increase more than seven-fold by 2030, as batteries in the market reach the end of their lifetime and demand for new batteries increases. By 2040, it is forecast that over 20 million tons of EV batteries will be available for recycling.
