In 2003, people in the United States spent an annual daily average of 285 minutes in social isolation. By 2020, this number had increased to around 333 minutes, an increase of 24 hours per month. Over this period the annual daily average of time people spent on household family engagement decreased from 262 minutes to 252 minutes.
