Gender distribution of cosmetic plastic surgery South Korea 2017-2020
According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2020, around 96 percent of female respondents stated that their plastic surgery had been for cosmetic purposes, with the remainder having been done for medical reasons. While their male counterparts were more likely to undergo plastic surgery for medical purposes, the majority of surgeries were still performed for cosmetic reasons.
