Top global risks driving R&D 2023

In 2023, the top risk identified by research and development professionals working across several different industries worldwide was infectious diseases. Second in the list was adverse outcomes of frontier technologies, with 58 percent of respondents who were the most concerned with this risk. Almost 50 percent of respondents claimed that natural resource shortages would drive research and development.
