Racial and ethnic diversity of law school applicants U.S. 2022
In 2022, the vast majority of those who applied for law school in the United States were Caucasian or white. Those from a Black or African American background were second on the list, with 11 percent of the total law school applicants, as were those with a Hispanic or Latine and Asian background. Only 0.1 percent of applicants were Native Hawaiian or from other Pacific islands.
