Lyon: number of teaching staff in the academy 2023

In 2023, in the academy of Lyon, there were 17,920 teachers who worked in preschools or elementary schools in the public sector, and there was almost the same amount of professionals who worked in middle schools and high schools. On the other hand, in the private sector, there were only 2,414 teachers employed in preschools and elementary schools, and only 6,977 in middle schools and high schools.
