Germany: Deutschlandticket owners by prior public transport use October 2023
Among people in Germany who had a Deutschlandticket in July 2023, the vast majority had used public transport prior to the introduction of the ticket, only eight percent of ticket holders were new users of public transport. However, around 48 percent of Deutschlandticket owners had used public transport but had not held a subscription ticket before the introduction of the Deutschlandticket.
The Deutschlandticket is a public transport ticket that allows access to local and regional public transport across Germany for 49 euros per month that was introduced in May 2023.
