French opinion on violence during demonstrations 2023

In 2023, France went through an important movement of protests against the pension reform carried out by Emmanuel Macron's government. During the Spring of 2023, some demonstrations were affected by violent actions, and individuals and public authorities suffered damage. According to a survey conducted in March 2023, 57 percent of the French respondents condemned these violent acts, however, 37 percent of them understood the violence, still without approving it.
