The importance of reform was stresssed before the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC). Wen Jibao called for more democracy. This requires policy reform so that economic reform is possible.

The poll was carried out by Global Poll Center. 1,010 people, aged 15 years and over were interviewed in seven cities between 4 and 12 of March.
